Can I be screened for COVID-19 (coronavirus)?
Yes. We will ask you questions about your symptoms and condition. Based on that information, we will determine if testing is needed or provide you with other instructions. You will be referred to one of our centers for in-person testing when appropriate. A COVID-19 risk screening is an evaluation of your health and symptoms based on guidelines from public health officials, which determines whether you meet the criteria for testing. The COVID-19 test is via a swab of the inside of your nose. The swab will be sent to our lab for testing. If opted in, we will text you when your test results are ready (U.S. cell phone numbers only). You may choose to receive your results via text, email, or on the web. Please visit our COVID-19 Testing page for more information.

Can VirtualCare be used for emergency care?
No. If you are experiencing an emergent or serious condition, we advise you to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
How can I be treated without a physical exam?
An Exer provider will evaluate your condition based on your symptoms and will sometimes conduct a visual exam via the video connection (ex. eye infection, rash or something else visible via the camera). Exer will treat you remotely when appropriate (ex. providing medical advice, walking you through at-home exercises, prescribing needed medication). But some conditions cannot be treated remotely and in that case your provider will recommend that you come in to see us at the Exer Urgent Care center nearest you.
What if I need a prescription?
Exer will transmit any prescriptions you receive during your VirtualCare visit directly to your pharmacy.. Please note that we are not able to prescribe certain types of medications, such as certain types of pain medication, via a VirtualCare visit and recommend that you come in to one of our centers for further assistance.
